Industry Parking Validations

Notice: Effective January 15th, 2023 Industry Parking Validations will only be available to tenants of Waikiki Shopping Plaza and Waikiki Business Plaza. Existing validations will continue to work until their printed expiration date.

The $15 for 10 hours day-time special rate will still be available to non-tenants.  See parking rates for more details. 

Affordable Parking for Industry Workers in Waikīkī

The Waikiki Shopping Plaza is pleased to offer discounted flat rate parking of $10 for up to 10 hours with valid proof of employment in Waikiki Shopping Plaza (WSP) or Waikiki Business Plaza (WBP). It can be difficult to find employee parking in Waikīkī, and we hope these discounted rates can help our kama’āina find affordable and reliable parking. 

Our parking lot is located on the corner of Kalākaua and Seaside Avenue within walking distance of almost all businesses in Waikīkī. Our parking system is fully automated and easy to use.

Each Industry Validation sticker can be used to park for up to 10 hours during parking lot hours. If your parking time exceeds 10 hours, our regular parking rates will apply. There are no in/out privileges.

Sale of Industry Validations is subject to limited availability.

 

$10 for 10-Hour Industry Validation Eligibility 

Proof of Current Employment in Waikiki Shopping Plaza or Waikiki Business Plaza

To qualify for a 10-hour industry parking validation, you will need to show proof of current employment with a business located in WSP or WBP, as well as a valid driver’s license and insurance card. Please be prepared to present the following original documents upon pickup (do not email these documents):

  1. One of the following documents:
    1. Paycheck stub dated within the last 30 days
  2. Valid Driverʻs License
  3. Valid Insurance Card

 

How to purchase Industry Validation Stickers 

Please email us (parking at waikiki shopping plaza dot com) to place an order.  Orders take two business days to process and there is a $20 order cancellation fee. Provide the following information in your email:

  1. Full name
  2. Phone number
  3. Name of current Employer
  4. Requested quantity of validations to purchase
    1. Minimum purchase of 20 stickers required
    2. Purchases are limited to a maximum of 40 stickers per month for individuals

Once your order is processed, please visit the Waikiki Shopping Plaza Management Office at Waikiki Business Plaza, 18th Floor, 2270 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815 to pick up your validation sticker order. Please bring the following with you to the 18th floor office:

  1. One of the below Proof of Employment Documents
    1. Paycheck stub dated within the last 30 days
    2. Email us from a business email and show us a matching business card
  2. Valid Driver’s License 
  3. One of the below Accepted Payment Methods (No Cash)
    1. Credit, Debit Cards
    2. Personal Check
Validating Your Parking

To validate your parking ticket with an Industry Validation Sticker:

  1. When your parking stay is over, proceed to a payment station (located on the 1st or 6th floor) before returning to your vehicle 
    1. Scan both the ticket (first) and the validation barcode (second) at the payment station
      1. Clear any pending transactions before scanning (press red X)
      2. Verify that the ticket and validation are accepted on the screen before walking away.
      3. Keep your parking ticket with you.  Do not throw it away, you will need it to exit.
      4. If your parking time exceeds ten (10) hours, posted rates will apply.
  2. When driving out of the parking lot, scan your parking ticket at the exit gate.
    1. Use the “Press for help” button if you have problems at the exit gate
    2. Alternatively you may call security on your mobile phone (the phone number is posted on the signage.)
    3. If you do not have a ticket when you arrive at the exit gate, you will need to pay a lost ticket fee to exit.
Rules and Regulations:
  1. No refunds. No exchanges. All sales final.
  2. No refunds of parking fees if validation was already used or applied to another ticket
  3. Stickers may only be used by the person/company printed on the sticker
  4. No in/out privileges
  5. Valid only at the Waikiki Shopping Plaza
  6. No overnight parking. Vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner’s expense.
  7. No resale of validation stickers.
  8. Validations expire one (1) year from the purchase date
  9. No Loitering in the parking garage
  10. No mopeds or motorcycles
